Gatwick Car Parking & Other Airport Facilities Explained
Gatwick airport is the second largest airport in the UK, operating international flights to approximately 240 short and long haul destinations. The airport has two terminals – North and South – and both terminals offer excellent facilities for passengers, particularly those who enjoy a bit of pre-flight shopping as part of their airport experience.
The South Terminal – This is the main terminal at Gatwick and handles most of the airports passengers, serving domestic, international and charter flights.
The North Terminal – This terminal is primarily used for scheduled flights and airlines such as British Airways, GB Airways, First Choice, Delta Airlines and Emirates. If you need to transfer between the terminals, the airport runs a free monorail frequently connecting the North and the South.
The airport is located 28 miles south of London and has convenient road and rail links connecting the airport to the rest of the UK. There are around 900 rail services a day to and from the airport, as well as frequent coach services.
Due to the fact that the airport is easily accessible, the car parks often fill up very quickly so pre-booking your airport parking is essential. By pre-booking it means that you are ensured a parking space in the car park of your choice, either on the airport or off-site or a Meet & Greet service – whatever suits your requirements best. It also means that you will pay less compared to the rate charged if you just turn up and park with out booking in advance.

Gatwick Meet & Greet
If you are short on time, have a lot of luggage to contend with, are travelling with young children or are a disabled traveller or simply don’t want to have to use transfer buses, then we recommend you book the most convenient parking available. On your return a chauffeur will bring your car back to the terminal. This means no waiting for buses; you can just get back in your car and drive away.

Pre-book a space in an airport lounge and sit and enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, light snacks, magazines and newspapers. The lounges are an ideal place and atmosphere to catch up on some work, relax and have a drink, or take a moment to read through your travel plans before you depart.
